How we handle your data

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Below is what data we receive when you write to us, and what we do with it.

Controller

The controller of personal data is Počitniška stanovanja Čok, Čezsoča 15, 5230 Bovec, Slovenia. E-pošta: apartmajicok@gmail.com, phone: +386 5 388 62 76, +386 41 600 492.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiries. The form on the Contact page sends and stores nothing: the button opens your own email app with a prepared message that you send yourself. From that email we receive your name, email address, possibly a phone number, dates, number of guests and message. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and to carry out your stay (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, and performance of the contract).
  • Phone and email. If you call or email us directly, the same applies: we use the details only to reply and for your stay.
  • The chosen apartment colour. When you pick an apartment colour, your browser keeps one value for the length of your visit (sessionStorage), so the page stays in that colour and the apartment is already selected in the form. It stays in your browser only, disappears when you close the tab and is sent nowhere.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes visitors’ IP addresses in short-lived logs for security and delivery. Transfers to the US rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

What we don’t use

No cookies, no analytics, no ads or trackers. Fonts are served from our own server and the map is an image (data © OpenStreetMap), so the site sends no requests to Google or other third parties. The “Open in Google Maps” link and the link to the reviews on Google take you to Google’s site, where Google’s own policy applies.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to reply and for your stay. Data required by law (for example guest registration and invoices) is kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. To use them, write to the email address above. If you think we are not handling your data correctly, you can complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (www.ip-rs.si).
